Hello new friends,
Coconut latte in my hand, banana chocolate chip scones in the oven (gluten-free of course) and a perfectly beautiful September day. I am really excited about finally starting this blog. There is a lot of pressure in a first entry. I feel like it kind of determines the direction of the future for a blogger. For this reason, whenever I begin following a new blog, I almost always try to go back and read the first entry. So, I am going to start with the relentless love of God!
Over the past couple of weeks, I have been studying through the book of Hosea with She Reads Truth. I know you are probably already thinking this is a super weird first entry…hang with me. The book of Hosea is a story of an unfaithful woman being loved unconditionally by a perfectly faithful man. This gives us a beautiful picture of the relentless love of God for a continually unfaithful people.
“Prone to wander Lord I feel it, prone to leave the God I love”, I am that unfaithful bride, and yet my Father calls me back daily, into in an intimate relationship. I have been loved and fully accepted by Christ, my ever faithful groom. I get to experience a daily walk with Him because He is faithful. I get to turn to Him with every need, because He will supply. I get to run to Him with every hurt, because He will heal. I get to cry to Him, because He will wipe every tear. I get to sing to Him because HE IS JOY!
